Kylie's First Birthday Party

My daughter, Kylie, turned one on October 12th. Being that pink and green are my favorite colors...we used them as well as a cupcake theme.

This is a wreath I made out of a grapevine wreath, mesh ribbon, and foam. JJ cut out the cupcake with a nifty foam cutter (who knew they had such a thing?). Although the foam is not going to hold up for a long period of time, it is very enexpensice. If you wanted something that would last for a while, I would recommend using plywood.

I made this cupcake stand out of boxes leftover from our office and wrapping paper, how easy is that?! I couldn't resist the polka-dotted cupcake wrappers. If you notice, Kylie's cake is at the top. It was made from a silicone cupcake mold. I used pink and green wrapping paper from the dollar store, yes the dollar store! I made the stand for right at $2.00! You can't beat that with a stick, and it makes a BIG statement!

Couldn't resist showing ya'll my daughter...needless to say, she enjoyed her cake!

Please come back and visit. Also, I am in the process of starting up a Facebook account and Etsy account. I am hoping I can find some time to make some things to sell!

  2. Colors used for icing of the cake are quite unique. Just attended one wedding party of my known at one of the spacious Los Angeles venues last year. I am a huge fan of their staff management and location since then. Everything was so systemized and dinner quality was praised by all the guests.
