New Use for an Old Window

Hey ya'll. I thought I would drop in to give you a good use for an old window.

You can find these at just about any good, old junk store, I happened to have found mine for only $5!

Adding a wreath to the window adds the perfect touch for a great focal point above the fireplace. Pair it with a wrought iron piece above and you have yourself a very unique display.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned, I have gotten a wild hair to do some re-decorating in the near future!

Spring has Sprung

This is one of my favorite times of year, minus the gnats and mosquitos that are rapidly taking over (if you live in the deep south you know where I'm coming from). It's the perfect time to get outside to fix up your yard and remove any signs of winter! One of the best things you can do is to add a new, bright wreath to your door.

While shopping one day, I overheard a conversation between two women. The topic was about front-door wreaths. One of the women said that 'what you put on your front door shows alot about what is on the inside of your home'. This is true, so instead of bringing the "outside in", bring the inside-out"!

This wreath I made for my sister-in-law for her "Spring" entryway. This look can be easily accomplished with a few flowers and some ribbon....viola!

For the Love of...Paint!

Painting and drawing have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. After highschool and starting a family, I lost touch with it; however, I am trying to get back into it.

I just completed a new addition to Kylie's toddler room...what do you think?

If you recall from a previous post, I am doing her room with a pink and black theme. You can't tell from the picture but the quatrefoil center is painted in a metallic silver.

Check out our Etsy page, where I will list a custom order for one of these!

Orlando, Fl

I am in Orlando with my hubby.  He has a meeting here this morning and then tonight we get to celebrate Valentine's Day a little late!  I am so excited to get to wear my new Miss Me jeans!  We are staying at the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne and I recommend this to everyone!  The part that our room is in is called the Wellborn Suites.  It was built in 1940 in the art deco style.  I absolutely love it!  Check it out here http://www.orlandohistoricinn.com/

Collegiate Country Wine Glasses

These were fun to make.  I don't care for "wine" but I think these would be awesome for some sweet tea!

Repurposed Binder Mechanism

Kaylyn and I salvaged this binder mechanism because I thought that there was surely another use for it.  And so, here is my new belt rack!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year. Thanks for stopping by! I must say that we have not been on top of this blog lately, but one of my New Year's resolutions is to actually finish projects that I have around the house.

So I started off with this frame that I purchased from Goodwill. It cost me only $2.42! I loved the intricate details to it. I wasn't crazy about the sailboats. As you can tell, I started painting before I got a 'before' shot.

I used just a black acrylic paint....

Here is the final result! Isn't she a cutie?

We hope you have a great new year!
